These are the rules for using RedFlagThis. We've kept them short and plain. By using the site, you agree to them.

What RedFlagThis is

RedFlagThis is an awareness tool that uses AI to analyse text and images for common red flags: scam patterns, manipulation tactics, predatory contract language, and similar concerns. It exists to help you think more clearly about content you're unsure about.

What it isn't

• Not legal advice. Nothing on this site is legal advice. For contracts, leases, or anything with legal consequences, consult a qualified lawyer in your jurisdiction.
• Not financial advice. We don't give financial, investment or tax advice. Ever.
• Not a substitute for your own judgement. AI makes mistakes. Use our analysis as one input among several.
• Not a scam reporting service. We don't report anything to authorities, platforms or third parties. If you've encountered a scam, report it through appropriate local channels.

Accuracy and reliability

We use one of the best AI models available, but no AI is perfect. RedFlagThis may miss real red flags, or flag things that aren't actually problems. Our analysis is provided "as is" without any guarantee of accuracy, completeness or fitness for a particular purpose.

You are responsible for any decisions you make based on our output. If something important is on the line, get professional human advice.

Your responsibilities

By using RedFlagThis, you agree to:

• Only paste or upload content you have the right to share.
• Not use the service to harass, defame, or harm anyone.
• Not attempt to abuse, overload, scrape or reverse-engineer the service.
• Not use automated tools to submit content at scale without permission.
• Not use the service for any illegal purpose.
• Not attempt to bypass daily scan limits by using multiple devices, browsers, VPNs or email addresses.

Usage limits and plans

RedFlagThis is free to use within the limits of the applicable plan:

• Anonymous tier: 3 scans per 24-hour period, no account required.
• Email-verified tier: 10 scans per 24-hour period when you verify an email address.
• Paid tier: A paid plan with unlimited scans and additional features is planned for the future. Pricing, availability and features are not yet finalised and may change before launch.

We may adjust limits, add features, change pricing or discontinue plans at any time. Where reasonably possible, we'll give existing users advance notice of material changes. Nothing here guarantees that a free tier will remain at the current specific limits forever, but we intend to keep a meaningful free tier available.

Email communications

If you verify an email address to unlock the higher daily limit, you agree that we may use it to:

• Send you a magic link or verification code to confirm your identity
• Notify you about new features, changes to the service, or the launch of paid plans
• Respond to support requests you initiate

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time via the link in any email we send. Unsubscribing from marketing doesn't affect essential service emails (like verification links when you log in again).

Content you submit

We don't claim any ownership over the text or images you paste. As described in our privacy policy, we don't store your submissions after analysis.

You confirm that you have the right to submit any content you paste, and that doing so doesn't violate anyone else's rights.

Service availability

We do our best to keep RedFlagThis running, but we don't guarantee uptime. The service may go down for maintenance, updates, or reasons outside our control. We may also change, suspend or discontinue features at any time.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RedFlagThis and its operators are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or special damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to financial loss, missed opportunities, reputational harm, or emotional distress.

If you rely on our analysis to make a decision and things go wrong, that's on you. This is a free awareness tool, not an insurance policy.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes means you accept the updated terms. We'll update the "last updated" date at the top when we make changes.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Any disputes will be handled in Australian courts.
